Wednesday, I was in heaven. And no, I’m not using the word heaven metaphorically. I was really in heaven. The real deal…because I can’t imagine the afterlife being much better than the Cosmetic Executive Women (CEW) Beauty Awards Product Demonstration. Nearly 600 new products from more than 280 brands were on display at the Metropolitan Pavilion and Altman Building in NYC - for attendees to touch, test, and take home.

I was having such a fabulous time that I was tempted to blow off my 8pm train back to Philly. Seriously, it was better than my fantasy of being "accidentally" locked in a Sephora overnight. And you should see the gift bag that they gave out at the end. It’s unbelievable (and it weighed, like, 20 pounds). Don’t hate. Appreciate.

The best part of CEW was learning about - and testing - products that haven’t been released yet, such as MAC’s upcoming Dazzleglass Collection.

By popular demand, MAC is creating a permanent collection of these brilliant glosses - to be released next month. I am particularly enamored with three nude/caramel-y shades that are so succulent, I need them in my life right now. Yesterday even. Here’s hoping this collection has an early March launch date, because I am in dire need of some Dazzleglass. Mama needs her MAC medicine, okaaaay?

This may be the best $27.00 I have shelled out. I have been wearing this for a long time.. Beware there are many pros but a few cons in wearing this. If you are a lover of the soft shimmery nude lips then you will love this, there are many teeny tiny mica particles that reflect in the light and really give a special shimmer to the lippies. I wear alone, with liner, over lippies and with other glosses. The color is a color I have dreamed about and to finally see it come to fruition is amazing. I can't get eough of this stuff. I usually pick it up at CO Bigelow and use my monthly $10 off $30 that is at the bottom of a prior receipt. The downfalls - the brush is like a paintbrush so when you constantly use, you find that the brush fans out and looks like a hot mess. I do experience some drying of the lips, no terribly but when using I do load up on my Molten Brown wonder lips to get the boost of moisture I have depleted.. Kevyn is dearly missed!

NRF77 says...I am not a pro when it comes to applying eyeliner and it usually takes both hands and a couple attempts. Noir makes an eyeliner that is effortless. It goes on so easy and close to your lashes. It looks great. This particular product has small flecks of silver in it and a beautiful shimmer. It is very chic and is perfect for a night out. It really brightened up my eyes and made my green eyes pop! You will love this liner. I cannot say enough great things about this product.

I am a die hard MAC fan and I love all of the Lipglass collection. The newest member of the family that I have been using is the Dazzleglass. It totally reminds me of Kevyn Aucoin's Cyber Lip, which is one of my all time favorites, it's got sparkle and shine.. I have Dazzleglass in Rags to Riches, Local Colour, Baby Sparks & Stop Look.. I love all of them.. They are all full of the lipglass shine you all know about, but this dazzleglass adds that the additional element of some shimmery mica which takes the gloss to a new extreme. It's subtle, yet stands out.. The colors I have are more on the neutral tip so my lips have a hint of color but then the power of the shimmer brings the attention.. I love them all and will be getting a couple more that I have been eyeing. The gloss doesn't have any sort of gritty feeling to me eithe. Some glosses that have the extra shimmer do. MAC''s dazzleglass colors are true to the swatches and they have some serious shine. It lasts on my lippies, it wears really well, it feels a little lighter than the lipglass but it's got enough weight that I can feel when it's wearing off so I can reapply. I will tell you this too..all the colors I have mix really well together.. The rags to riches is my favorite today.. It has a little lavender in it and works really well on a naked lip - it gives it a little color but more so amplifies my natural lip.. They have the most amazing color range to pick from.. You must check these out!!

MAC • Hello Kitty Kouture - Dazzlepuss Dazzleglass

I'm NOT a HK fan but that didnt stop me from buying the HKK Dazzleglasses - both of them. These were ultra expensive in Australia and based on that alone ($68AU) there is NO WAY I would have purchased these here - I outsourced overseas.
Having said that I was still underwhelmed with Dazzlepuss. Its a plain pink, not outstanding and honestly some of the colours in the other releases and soon to be permanent dazzleglass are much superior to this. The colour is subdued, though it is still easily recognised as a Dazzleglass it simply wasnt outstanding enough to warrant the idiot price tag. I vastly prefer Extra Amps to this.
I personally havent had any trouble with my charms - but then I dont l fool about with them either. They sit in the box they came in and I havent removed the plastic cover from them.
This was a real let down as far as colour goes and I wouldnt buy again.

1. Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation in NW50- When I first purchased this powder last year, I fell in love with it! When I first got Select Sheer Pressed Powder in NC55, it was a bit too light for me so I don't use it anymore until I get the NW50 shade sometime. This powder is also great setting powder with any foundation of your choice and you can use this with Fix+ for a sheer application.

2. Patisserie Lipstick- I love this lipstick to death! This is the color that everyone must get if you love neutrals and lustres like me. I might need to get a backup of this lipstick.

3. Fix+ Rose- The smell is amazing compared to the regular Fix+. It has a subtle rose scent and like the regular Fix+, you can spray this on your face after you've applied your makeup or you can spray it before you apply moisturizer so your face looks dewy. Right now, it's no longer on the MAC website but you can try your MAC store and see if they have it.

4. Evening Aura Eyeshadow- This color is amazing! I love using this everyday. It's a peachy gold color and this came out with the Neo Sci-Fi collection. You can pair this with browns/neutrals, pinks, blues, teals, greens, anything. You can find this eyeshadow on http://www.allcosmeticswholesale.com for a cheaper price.

5. #226 Small Tapered Blending Brush- I am in love with this brush! This is the perfect blending brush that you can ever have. If you missed out on this brush from BBR, this is the best oppertunity to get this brush in the Colour Craft collection now before it sells out quickly like it did when BBR first came out.

6. #131 Duo Fibre Powder/Blush Brush- This brush is super soft! When I first got it, I used it with my Merrily Mineralize Blush and when I applied it, it looked amazing! This brush can be used with Mineralize Skinfinishes and Mineralize Blushes. You can also use it for foundation as well if you don't have the #188 Small Duo Fibre Brush.

7. #272 Small Angled Shader Brush- This brush is discontinued. I ordered this brush when it was in the Goodbyes section before the Friends & Family Sale so I quickly snatched it up and I love it! You can use this brush on the lid, crease and brow bone. I mostly use this brush in my crease and brown bone.

8. Gold Rebel Lipglass- This lipglass is very pretty! I love using it alone or over Brave New Bronze lipstick. If you have Sunsational, you can use this lipglass with it too.

9. Liberated Lipglass- I ordered this lipglass before it was sold out online and I love this lipglass. It's more pigmented than Goldyrocks for those who own this dazzleglass. This will go well with any lipstick of your choice.

10. Brunette MSF- I love Brunette MSF! I'm a MSF addict and to tell you the truth, I'm glad to have this, otherwise, I would cry if I didn't get this gorgeous MSF from the BBR collection. I'm on the hunt for Blonde and Redhead MSFs right now.

Mac Colour Craft Review

On Saturday, I finally went to the MAC store (it's my 3rd visit there) and the first thing that I saw was Colour Craft. I swatched all of the Mineralize Blushes and they are so pretty! Here's what I think about this collection:

Lipsticks:
All of the lipsticks were gorgeous! I'm leaning towards Madly Creative since I love neutrals and Made With Love because I love corals. This color would look pretty with Red Devil lipglass from BBR. Trimming Talk looked gorgeous! I don't own too many bold lipstick and this would be perfect since I don't have Girl About Town or any bold hot pink lipstick. Most Popular is pretty. I almost got it when Hello Kitty was out and I'm glad that they repromoted it. Ever Embellish is the perfect plum lipstick to have! I don't own any of the berry lipsticks and will have to go back to the MAC store to check it out. Colour Crafted looked pretty but it will not look good on my skintone. Great for fair to medium skintones.

Lipglasses:
The lipglasses are super pigmented, compared to the Tri-Color Lipglasses from Sugar Sweet and they are opaque, not sheer. Eclectic Edge was the first to catch my eye! I got it for free with 6 of my empties! I even worn it yesterday and I love it! This is backup worthy in case I use it a lot. Funky Fusion is a gorgeous hot pink to have! I haven't bought a hot pink lipglass in a long time and now it's time to get one. Nice Mix Up is awesome! I'm loving the orange and gold hues from that lipglass. I didn't swatch Pretty Pattern, Crazy Haute and Miss Marble and I will go back and swatch those three and they did look pretty.

Mineralize Skinfinishes:
IF YOUR A MSF ADDICT LIKE ME, I'D SAY GET AT LEAST 3 OR 4 OF THEM!!!! I didn't get any of the MSFs since I was low on money and would've got Cheeky Bronze and Smooth Merge. What I like about Cheeky Bronze is that it's a gorgeous MSF to use for everyday! I can use this as a all over glow or on my cheeks for a perfect glow. Smooth Merge is gorgeous! I loved the middle stripe! I can use that as a blush on the apples of my cheeks. I didn't bother swatching Warm Blend, Sunny By Nature, Triple Fusion and Porcelain Pink. I will also go back and swatch them.

Mineralize Blushes:
All of them are so pretty!!! It was hard not to get them and wish I did. Here's what I think about each of them:
Cheek & Cheerful: Love this blush! I would use this everyday with Cheeky Bronze MSF! It's a perfect match for them!

Improvise: This color is pretty! If your skintone is dark like mine, I would use this as a highlight color.

Style Demon: This reminded me of Merrily except that it's darker than Merrily and I would love to have this blush!

Fab-dabulous: Must-have. Nuff said. This color is pretty! I would definately use this blush everyday and I love the gold veining of this blush!

Hand-Finish: Another must have! For those who have Moon River Mineralize Blush Duo, you might want to skip this one or you can get it to compare.

Daft Pink: Every girl on specktra was raving about this blush! I myself don't own too many pink blushes and I might get this one since I'll use it lightly on my cheeks. For those who have Love Rock Mineralize Blush Duo, you might want to skip this or you can get it to compare.

Mineralize Eyeshadow (Quad):
I didn't bother to swatch them since I'm passing on these. For those who use MES often, I would check out Natural Flare, Fashion Patch, Assemblage and Girlish Romp.

Brushes:
The 226 brush is amazing blending brush! I use it to blend out eyeshadows or I use it as a crease color. I'm happy that this brush is repromoted and plus I'm going to get a second one. Also, the 131 brush is a must have! This brush is perfect for the MSFs and the MBs. I don't recommend using this for foundation. If you want a duo fibre brush for foundation, try the 188 Small Duo Fibre Brush. I'm excited that I'll get my brush sometime this week. Well, hope you like my review and will do another one for Euristocrats II!
